Indeed source path

Rival Recruit captures Indeed's granular source attribution data, showing exactly which Indeed products drove each candidate application. Instead of seeing only a generic "Indeed.com" source, recruiters can now see the full attribution chain — for example, whether a candidate came through Sponsored Jobs, Smart Sourcing, Autosourcer, or Hiring Events.

Where it appears

Indeed Source Path data appears in two places:

  • Candidate Resume Profile (CRP) — A new "Indeed Source Path" field appears in the Insights section, showing the full attribution chain (for example, "Indeed_Sponsored_Jobs → Indeed_Apply"). This field only appears when the candidate's source is Indeed.com and attribution data exists.
  • Custom Analytics — A new "Indeed Source Path" dimension is available in the Resumes Explore, with both individual source values and the full comma-delimited path under an "Additional Sources" group. Use this to filter and report across all Indeed-sourced candidates.

How it works

Indeed sends attribution data with each Indeed Apply application. Rival Recruit captures this data at the CX layer and flows it through to the candidate profile and analytics pipeline automatically.

  • No configuration is required.
  • The field appears automatically for candidates who apply via Indeed. The specific source details shown depend on which Indeed products your organization uses (e.g., Sponsored Jobs, Smart Sourcing, Autosourcer).
  • The existing "Source" field continues to show "Indeed.com" as before — Source Path is additive, not a replacement.

Key information

  • Indeed Source Path applies to new applications going forward only. Existing Indeed applications are not retroactively enriched.
  • The field only appears when Indeed attribution data exists. Profiles without this data are not affected.
  • Up to 5 additional Indeed-specific source values can appear in the attribution chain.
